Hand & Chain Saw

Hand Saw, Ring Saw, Chain Saws are used for many different applications. Hand Sawing is used for cutting slab and small openings through concrete walls. Ring Saws are used as finishing tools, allowing our operators to eliminate overcuts on the corners of an opening up to 12” thick. A chain saw is another finishing tool, typically used to eliminate overcuts on openings however, these saws have the capability of cutting up to 24” thick.

Core Drilling

Concrete core drilling is used for creating circular openings for plumbing, as well as for structural and electrical installations. Core drill bits are available in diameters from ½” up.

Concrete core drilling is designed to remove the perimeter of the hole, an annulus of material rather than an entire cylinder of the material being drilled. The material left inside the drill bit is referred to as the core.

Typical applications include:

Floor drains
Sewer drains
Sewer tie-ins
HVAC openings
Phone, electrical, cable, and fiber optic openings

Slab Sawing

Is used to create openings and trenches in order to complete such tasks as creating control joints or laying underground wires and pipes.

From a small score to deep cuts, our flat saws cut a range of depths through both asphalt and concrete. Penhall uses saws equipped with a diamond blade to cut flat, horizontal concrete and asphalt surfaces
